“Recent experiments have given us novel evidence relevant to the search for a quantum theory of gravity: among these is the absence of the low-energy supersymmetric particles that many expected. Table top experiments might even detect quantum superpositions of spacetimes, in the near future. Tentative quantum theories of gravity, such as Loop Quantum Gravity, exist and are vigorously studied. They demand a profound modification of the way we understand space and time. I review the state of our knowledge on quantum gravity, focusing on the conceptual novelty of these theories.” Link to Youtube livestream: https://youtu.be/KcJFhisA3TE
