As far as we know, all of the objects in the solar system were formed in orbit around the Sun 4.5 billion years ago. Recently, two macroscopic objects have been identified that were clearly formed elsewhere in the galaxy. These “Interstellar Interlopers”, `Oumuamua and Borisov, signify the existence of a vast population of similar but previously undetected objects. In this talk, Prof. Jewitt will discuss the observations and the ideas (some of them bordering on the fantastical) put forward to understand these bodies.
