Science in Parliament
Martin Smith is a Specialist for the House of Commons Science and Technology-a role which involves managing inquiries for the Committee, including briefing members and drafting reports. Most recently he managed the Committee’s work on the Implications of Brexit for Science and Research, and is currently managing the Committee’s work on Research Integrity. He has worked for the House since 2013, serving as a specialist for the Education Select Committee for two years. Previously he worked in science policy and education policy for a range of science learned societies, including the British Ecological Society, the Royal Society and the London Mathematical Society. Martin studied Mathematics at Imperial College, and loves nothing more than a good pun, a brass band and a game of darts. This event is FREE for everyone (students and non-students).
